“Hi! I’m Mackenzie, the owner of Glow Theory Studio and a certified spray tan artist based in Blacksburg, Virginia. My love for a good fake tan started at a young age. Being very fair myself, I was always searching for the perfect glow and the confidence boost that came with it.

Over the years, I experienced many different spray tans and while they weren’t necessarily bad, I never fully felt comfortable during the process. That’s exactly why I created Glow Theory Studio. My goal is not only to give you the best spray tan of your life, but to make sure you feel completely comfortable from start to finish. One of the things I hear most often is, “You made me forget I was even naked,” or “You made that so easy, I was so nervous coming in.” Those moments truly mean everything to me.

What started as a little side hustle has turned into such a huge passion. In 2019, I became Norvell-certified so I could offer spray tanning at the salon I managed and from the very first tan I did, I was hooked. I dove deep into the science, techniques, and artistry of sunless tanning, and it wasn’t long before I realized this was more than just a service for clients, it was a confidence ritual.

In 2021, I took the leap and launched Afterglow Sunless, my own spray tan business dedicated to helping people feel like the best version of themselves.
