“I founded SunBlast Mobile Tanning with my long time friend, Casey Bandy, in December 2006 (with my first paying clients in January 2007). I was the first mobile spray tan technician in the MidSouth and have since built up a network of over 7,000 spray tan clients.
I only use top-of-the-line products and offer a variety of products to meet each client’s needs. In 2009 we recruited Angie Allen of Germantown, Tennessee, for our team. We currently have three locations: Hernando, Mississippi; Germantown, Tennessee; and Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Throughout my career, I have spoken on several local cosmetic panels and have written my own spray tan training manuals and guides. In 2010, I was featured on WREG News Channel 3 for my expertise with the 2 Hour Tan (TM) product lines. I also got my permanent makeup/tattoo license in Honolulu, Hawaii, where I completed OSHA Certification and permanent makeup training from Dr. Linda Dixon, MD in Kailua, Hawaii.
I have completed sunless education courses with Celebrity Spray Tan Artists Fabiola Trujillo of SoBe Tan and Keri Simmons Elliot, ambassador of Unfiltered. I have also completed the Master's Certification Course through Kelly Callaghan, Owner and Instructor of the X-TAN product lines and Spray Tan Class. I am also a certified competition technician with LiquidSunRayz, and I am their North Mississippi contact. With over 15 years of experience and continuously learning and improving, I take pride in my work! My father, David Dixon, was a victim of skin cancer and passed away in 1998 from metastatic melanoma when I was only 19. I have his F1/F2 skin type, and I understand the seriousness of what the sun can do to skin. All of our technicians take this business very seriously.
